Shirdi


Sai Baba also known as Shirdi Sai Baba, was an Indian guru, yogi and fakir who is regarded by his Hindu and Muslim followers as a saint. Some of his Hindu devotees believe that he was an incarnation of Dattatreya, and he was regarded as a satguru and an incarnation of Kabir.
How to reach :
Road :Shirdi is on the Ahmednagar-Manmad Highway, 250 km from Mumbai and 75 km from Nashik.
Rail : A New railway satation has been opened in Shiridi(Sai Nagar Shirdi).
Kopergaon on Daund-Manmad Line is an important railway station about 16kms from Shirdi.Manmad is another important station about 58kms from Shirdi and Nagarlsol is around 55km from Shirdi.

Trimbakeshwar

Trimbakeshwar or Tryambakeshwar or Trambakeshwar is an ancient Hindu temple in the town of Trimbak, in the Nashik District of MaharashtraIt ,is one of the twelve Jyotirlingaas.

Yaksha at Trimbak templeThe work of constructing the present temple of Trimbakeshwar was begun by Shrimant Balaji Bajirao alias Nanasahib Peshawe in 1755 in the first half of the Margashirsha month (around December) and was completed in 1786. It took 31 years to construct the temple and the cost of 16 lacs then. There are three ?Linga? of the size of a thumb and they are called as Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh - the creator, the organizer and the destroyer. These lingas are natural ( emerged naturally )Water of Ganges flows over the Linga of Shiva.The deity is worshipped here thrice a day and an additional worship with flowers at pradosha time.
