Kuravpur [Kurugaddi or Kuravapur or Kuravapuram]

Shripada ShriVallabha Devasthan situated at Krishna River island. Shripad ShriVallabha,the first avatar of Shri Dattatreya in kaliyuga stayed here on this island about 700 years ago. This land is possibly known as Kuravpur (Kuravapur) and is mentioned in "Gurucharitra" written by Saraswati Gangadhar about 400 to 500 years ago.
Shri Shripada ShriVallabha except that he came from Pithapuram in Andhra Pradesh (Son of Ghandikota Aaphalraj sarma and Sumati) and stayed here rest of his life (which was about 30 years before he took Samadhi in Krishna River).
How to Reach :
Road : Atkur is 40 kim from Raichur.One need to cross the Krishna at Atkur to reach Kuruvaour.(Via Makthal): Makthal (Mahaboobnagar district, Andhra Pradesh) is 68 KM from Mahaboobnagar bus station and 168 KM from Hyderabad .APSRTC run Hyderabad - Raichur buses for evry one hour.One need to get down at Makthal.Buses are available from Makthal to Panchdev Pahad .River bank is 17 KM from Makthal. Putti or small boats used to cross theriver.
Rail : Nearest Railway head is Raichur and Mahaboob nagar which is at 68Km.
Air:Shamshabad Internation air port ,Hyderabad is nearest air port
