Shirdi


Sai Baba also known as Shirdi Sai Baba, was an Indian guru, yogi and fakir who is regarded by his Hindu and Muslim followers as a saint. Some of his Hindu devotees believe that he was an incarnation of Dattatreya, and he was regarded as a satguru and an incarnation of Kabir.
How to reach :
Road :Shirdi is on the Ahmednagar-Manmad Highway, 250 km from Mumbai and 75 km from Nashik.
Rail : A New railway satation has been opened in Shiridi(Sai Nagar Shirdi).
Kopergaon on Daund-Manmad Line is an important railway station about 16kms from Shirdi.Manmad is another important station about 58kms from Shirdi and Nagarlsol is around 55km from Shirdi.

Trimbakeshwar

Trimbakeshwar or Tryambakeshwar or Trambakeshwar is an ancient Hindu temple in the town of Trimbak, in the Nashik District of MaharashtraIt ,is one of the twelve Jyotirlingaas.
TrimbakeshwarIt is located at the source of the Godavari River.The Godavari River originates from Bramhagiri mountains.Kusavarta, a kund is considered the symbolic origin of the river Godavari, and revered by Hindus as a sacred bathing place. The extraordinary feature of the Jyotirlinga located here is its three faces embodying Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Rudra.
Yaksha at Trimbak templeThe work of constructing the present temple of Trimbakeshwar was begun by Shrimant Balaji Bajirao alias Nanasahib Peshawe in 1755 in the first half of the Margashirsha month (around December) and was completed in 1786. It took 31 years to construct the temple and the cost of 16 lacs then. There are three ?Linga? of the size of a thumb and they are called as Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh - the creator, the organizer and the destroyer. These lingas are natural ( emerged naturally )Water of Ganges flows over the Linga of Shiva.The deity is worshipped here thrice a day and an additional worship with flowers at pradosha time.

Dwaraka Tirumala

Dwaraka Tirumala or Dwarakatirumala is a village and a mandal in West Godavari district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. It is famous for temple of Lord Venkateswara. This is also called as 'Chinna Tirupathi'.

Narsobawadi

Shri Narasimha Saraswati (Nrusimha Saraswati) is considered the second avatar of Shri Dattatreya. Most influential book in Marathi literature, Shri GuruCharitra written by Shri Saraswati Gangadhar, one of the most talented poet and philosopher ever known in Marathi literature in Maharashtra. Shri Narasimha Saraswati spent 12 years in Narsobawadi before moving to Ghangapur[Gulbarga district of Karnataka].This is one of the most famous Dattatreya Mandir on Krishna River and is considered very holy place of worship indeed. This temple has his Padukas and is worshipped everyday here regularly by millions of devotees. The river Krishna flows right infront of the mandir and during floods/rainy season the water rises above the temple and the temple is shut for few months. This place is confluence of the five holy rivers, Siva, Bhadra, Kumbhi, Bhagwati and Saraswati, where they all meet and merge in the Krishna river.

Kuravpur [Kurugaddi or Kuravapur or Kuravapuram]

Shripada ShriVallabha Devasthan situated at Krishna River island. Shripad ShriVallabha,the first avatar of Shri Dattatreya in kaliyuga stayed here on this island about 700 years ago. This land is possibly known as Kuravpur (Kuravapur) and is mentioned in "Gurucharitra" written by Saraswati Gangadhar about 400 to 500 years ago.
Shri Shripada ShriVallabha except that he came from Pithapuram in Andhra Pradesh (Son of Ghandikota Aaphalraj sarma and Sumati) and stayed here rest of his life (which was about 30 years before he took Samadhi in Krishna River).
