Narsobawadi

Shri Narasimha Saraswati (Nrusimha Saraswati) is considered the second avatar of Shri Dattatreya. Most influential book in Marathi literature, Shri GuruCharitra written by Shri Saraswati Gangadhar, one of the most talented poet and philosopher ever known in Marathi literature in Maharashtra. Shri Narasimha Saraswati spent 12 years in Narsobawadi before moving to Ghangapur[Gulbarga district of Karnataka].This is one of the most famous Dattatreya Mandir on Krishna River and is considered very holy place of worship indeed. This temple has his Padukas and is worshipped everyday here regularly by millions of devotees. The river Krishna flows right infront of the mandir and during floods/rainy season the water rises above the temple and the temple is shut for few months. This place is confluence of the five holy rivers, Siva, Bhadra, Kumbhi, Bhagwati and Saraswati, where they all meet and merge in the Krishna river.

Road : JaiSinghpur is located on Sangli - Kholhapur high way.JaiSinghpur to Narsobachiwadi Distance 14 kms.From Sangli it is around 22km.MSRTC run buses from Kholhapur and JaiSinghpur to Narsobawadi.
Rail : Nearest Train Station is JaiSinghpur which is 5 kms from Sangli Railway Station.
Air : Nearest air port is Kholhapur which is around 60km.
